Released on October 18, the track, which samples Wu-Tang Clan’s 1994 hit “Can It Be All So Simple,” has rapidly become a favorite among music lovers worldwide.

The single, which boasts 26.12 million streams on Spotify and 6.67 million YouTube plays in just over a month, has made waves worldwide.

Following its debut, the track was voted as the top new music release of the week in a Billboard music poll, where it earned fans’ admiration for its laid-back, R&B vibes.

Chart success across multiple regions

Since its release, “Piece of My Heart” has topped charts around the globe, underscoring Wizkid’s growing international influence. In Nigeria, it secured the No. 1 spot on the TurnTable Top 100 and dominated the UK Afrobeats chart.

Meanwhile, in the U.S., the track reached No. 4 on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart and No. 7 on the US World Digital Song Sales chart, signaling its broad appeal across the African diaspora and beyond.

The song also charted in other regions, reaching No. 13 on New Zealand’s Hot Singles chart, No. 12 on Suriname’s Nationale Top 40, and No. 61 on the UK Singles chart.

It further secured No. 20 on the UK Hip Hop/R&B chart, reflecting its significant impact on the global music scene.
