The performance marks a major moment for global music and football, uniting audiences in what is expected to be the largest edition of the tournament to date.

Tems: Amplifying African excellence on a global stage
Tems, born Temilade Openiyi, recently clinched her second Grammy Award—this time for Best African Music Performance with her hit single “Love Me Jeje.”
The track has achieved RIAA Gold status in the U.S., surpassing 500,000 units in sales.

“This performance is more than just a show,” Tems said in a statement released by Global Citizen.
“We’re bringing the world together to celebrate football, experience unity through music, and support millions of children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.”
Global impact: Halftime show to drive $100 million for education fund
In a groundbreaking initiative, $1 from every FIFA Club World Cup ticket sold in the U.S. will be donated to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which supports FIFA’s Football for Schools program.
The fund aims to raise over $100 million to support education and development programs globally.
Tems’ manager Muyiwa Awoniyi confirmed the announcement via X (formerly Twitter), thanking FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans for making the landmark collaboration possible.
“This is the first halftime show in FIFA competition history—and we are proud to be part of it,” he wrote.
Global citizen and FIFA unite music, sport, and social impact
Global Citizen stated the show “reflects our core belief: that music and unity can help solve the world’s greatest challenges.”
With performances from artists across Africa, South America, and North America, the halftime show at the FIFA Club World Cup Final is expected to be one of the most-watched musical events of the year.
Tems continues to redefine the global music scene, cementing her status as one of Africa’s most influential cultural exports.
