  • Rooftop pool, Sky Bar, and panoramic city views define its leisure appeal.
  • Prime CBD location with upscale dining, wellness, and business-class amenities.

Hilton Windhoek has redefined luxury hospitality in Namibia’s capital, standing as the city’s first true five-star hotel and a landmark destination for business and leisure travelers.

Strategically positioned in the central business district, Hilton Windhoek caters to the growing demand for upscale accommodations in one of Africa’s fast-evolving urban hubs.

Since opening its doors in 2011, the hotel has cemented its reputation as Windhoek’s premier address, combining world-class service, architectural ambition, and unrivaled city views.

As Hilton Worldwide’s 50th property in the Middle East and Africa, the hotel is an architectural marvel, blending glass-and-steel modernism with African-inspired elegance.

Overlooking Freedom Square from Reverend Michael Scott Street, the 150-room property offers sweeping views of the Khomas Highlands and Windhoek’s skyline.

Its striking 40-meter tower entrance leads into a light-filled atrium that connects the hotel’s executive club, lounges, and dining areas with seamless visual flow—an aesthetic nod to modern luxury and transparent design.

Cultural elegance and elevated comfort

Hilton Windhoek’s guest accommodations range from standard king and twin rooms to executive, presidential, and diplomatic suites, each outfitted with plush pillow-top beds, well-curated minibars, and high-speed Wi-Fi.

The interiors harmoniously integrate local Namibian art with sleek, muted tones, offering a contemporary yet culturally rooted ambiance.

The hotel’s rooftop oasis remains a standout attraction—an elevated retreat featuring a heated lap pool, chic cabanas, and an expansive terrace with panoramic city views.

Sky Bar and Terrace Lounge provide perfect sundowner settings, although some guests occasionally note pool temperature inconsistencies during cooler months.

Wellness, culinary experiences, and business-class amenities

Wellness is integral to the Hilton Windhoek experience. Guests can indulge in spa treatments across two serene therapy rooms or stay active at the 24-hour Hilton Fitness by Precor gym.

While highly rated, some visitors have pointed to a need for updated fitness equipment—a minor note amid otherwise glowing reviews.

Dining and entertainment are major highlights, with five distinct venues delivering elevated culinary and nightlife experiences.

From the Ekipa all-day restaurant serving gourmet local flavors to the chic Divine Wine Bar and the vibrant Sky Bar, the hotel offers curated menus, handcrafted cocktails, and elevated city views that define Windhoek’s modern dining scene.

For corporate travelers, Hilton Windhoek provides cutting-edge business facilities, including a grand ballroom accommodating up to 250 guests, versatile breakout rooms, and executive boardrooms, all supported by dedicated event planning teams.

Its prime location places guests within minutes of Windhoek’s boutique shops, art galleries, and parks, while the hotel’s shuttle service offers seamless connectivity to Hosea Kutako International Airport in approximately 20 minutes.

Beyond its luxurious amenities, Hilton Windhoek is a champion of community engagement.

With a workforce of over 200 trained Namibians and its affiliation with United Africa Group, the hotel prioritizes local employment, skills development, and sustainable tourism initiatives, underscoring its role as a socially responsible hospitality leader.
