Accor has signed an agreement with John Williams Hotels & Resorts and Boulevard Hotel Group to introduce Mövenpick and Mövenpick Living to Abuja.
The project, planned to open in the first quarter of 2026, will sit in the Central Business District and serve corporate travelers, expatriates, and families seeking an international standard hotel and serviced-residence.
The property will feature 138 hotel keys and 36 serviced apartments. It will also have four dining outlets, a spa, fitness center, outdoor pool, and a grand ballroom with space for conferences and corporate events.

A new long-stay offering in the Federal Capital
The site is on Constitution Avenue near the Three Arms Zone. It is about a 30-minute drive to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, making it a practical location for foreign delegations, embassy officials, multinationals, and domestic business travelers.
“We are proud to continue expanding our presence in West Africa,” said Maya Ziade, Chief Development Officer for Accor’s Premium, Midscale and Economy division for the Middle East, Africa and Türkiye.
“This signing shows our long-term commitment to Nigeria. It also brings the Mövenpick Living concept into the country for the first time, offering an option for guests who need more privacy and the comfort of a home.”

Backed by local operators
Chief William Agbo, founder of John Williams Hotels & Resorts, said the partnership will bring an international hospitality benchmark to the capital while training and employing Nigerians across multiple skill levels.
Boulevard Hotel Group will serve as operator.
“Boulevard Hotel Group is honored to manage this flagship development,” said Ekene Nnabuihe, Group CEO. “We aim to deliver consistent performance and raise operational standards in Abuja and other growth markets in West Africa.”

Growing demand in Abuja
Abuja’s hotel and serviced-apartment supply has tightened in recent years as multinational companies, development agencies, and diplomatic missions expand operations.
Developers have accelerated pipeline activity in premium and extended-stay categories, viewing demand as resilient.
The partners said they will emphasize local hiring, supplier inclusion, and responsible tourism. Accor now has four hotel assets in Nigeria across ibis, Novotel and Mövenpick.
Across Africa, Accor operates more than 167 properties, and continues to pursue new signings in capital cities and secondary markets.
Mövenpick is present in more than 40 countries with more than 130 hotels and over 90 more under development.
