  • Yerim Sow controls hotels across Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger and Guinea through Teyliom’s Mangalis Group.
  • Mangalis operates luxury, mid-range and budget hotels under Noom, Seen and Yaas brands.
  • Sow committed over €315 million ($373.17 million) in hotel investments across West and Central Africa.

Senegalese business mogul Yerim Habib Sow, founder of Teyliom Group, has quietly become one of West Africa’s most influential hospitality investors.

Through its hospitality arm, Mangalis Hotel Group, Sow owns and controls a growing network of hotels across Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger and Guinea.

Operating under the Noom, Seen and Yaas brands, the portfolio spans luxury, mid-range and budget segments, targeting business travelers, diplomats and regional tourists.

As African cities expand and travel demand rises, Sow’s hotels are increasingly shaping the region’s modern hospitality landscape.

Each brand reflects a strategic approach to African hospitality: Noom delivers five-star experiences for international business travelers and diplomats; Seen blends style and comfort for mid-range guests; and Yaas offers modern, affordable accommodations without compromising quality.

Sow’s vision is distinctly African: hotels “by Africans, for Africans,” combining Afro-chic design, contemporary comfort, and international service standards. From the bustling streets of Abidjan to the Sahelian charm of Niamey, his properties are reshaping hospitality in West and Central Africa.

Beyond luxury, these hotels create local jobs, promote training programs, and partner with regional suppliers, reflecting a commitment to economic and social impact.

Despite setbacks from pandemic disruptions and delayed projects, Sow has continued to expand, committing more than €315 million ($373.2 million) to new hotel developments across 13 countries. Based on Shore Africa’s research, we profile seven of Yerim Habib Sow’s standout hotel assets across West Africa.

1. Noom Hôtel Niamey (5‑Star)
Location: Niamey, Niger
Noom Hôtel Niamey stands as one of Teyliom Group’s flagship jewels in West Africa’s Sahel region. Positioned in Niger’s capital, the five‑star hotel caters to international travellers, diplomats and business executives with upscale rooms, refined dining and premium meeting spaces. Its blend of contemporary design and local touches has made it a preferred choice for discerning guests across the region.

2. Seen Hotel Abidjan (4‑Star)
Location: Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire
Seen Hotel Abidjan reflects Teyliom’s push into Côte d’Ivoire’s bustling hospitality market. The four‑star property offers stylish accommodation, leisure facilities and thoughtful service in the Ivorian economic capital. Its modern aesthetic and central location make it ideal for business travellers, regional conferences and visitors seeking comfort without the price tag of ultra‑luxury stays.

3. Yaas Hotel Dakar (3‑Star)
Location: Dakar, Senegal
Situated in Senegal’s vibrant capital, Yaas Hotel Dakar delivers practical comfort with quality service at accessible rates. As part of Teyliom’s broader Yaas brand portfolio, the three‑star hotel appeals to both local and international guests looking for reliable accommodation in a dynamic city. Its welcoming ambience and essential amenities support travellers on business or leisure.

4. Noom Hotel Dakar Sea Plaza
Location– Dakar, Senegal (Rebranded)
Formerly the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dakar Sea Plaza, this iconic beachfront property has been rebranded under the Noom Hotels banner. Overlooking the Atlantic, Noom Hotel Dakar Sea Plaza combines premium facilities with coastal charm, enhancing Teyliom’s presence in Senegal’s key hospitality market. The hotel remains a top destination for tourists, high‑profile events and luxury stays.

5. Noom Hôtel Conakry
Location– Conakry, Guinea (Noom Brand)
Noom Hôtel Conakry represents Teyliom’s expansion into Guinea’s capital with a focus on upscale service. The hotel offers refined rooms, business‑friendly amenities and elevated dining experiences. Its strategic positioning in Conakry’s urban centre supports regional travel and reflects the Noom brand’s commitment to hospitality that meets global standards in emerging African markets.

6. Noom Hôtel Abidjan
Location– Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire (Noom Brand)
Part of the growing Noom portfolio, Noom Hôtel Abidjan reinforces Teyliom’s foothold in Côte d’Ivoire’s hospitality sector. The hotel merges contemporary design with local influences to attract both international guests and Ivorian residents. With spacious rooms, modern facilities and a focus on hospitality excellence, it targets mid‑to‑upper segment travellers in the economic heart of the country.

7. Noom Hôtel Bouaké
Location: Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire
Noom Hôtel Bouaké is part of Teyliom’s forward expansion under the Mangalis brand in Côte d’Ivoire’s second-largest city. Designed to support business travel and domestic tourism, the hotel is expected to bring Noom’s hospitality standards to Bouaké. Once fully operational, it will extend premium accommodation options beyond Abidjan, tapping into the growing demand for quality stays in regional hubs.
