Mandarin Oriental Marrakech is stepping up its push into North Africa’s luxury travel market with three new experience packages set to debut in 2026, targeting travelers drawn to wellness, culture and food.
The move comes as Marrakech regains its footing as a global leisure hub, helped by stronger air links, rising visitor numbers and renewed interest from high-spending travelers looking beyond traditional European hotspots.
Spread across 50 acres of olive groves and manicured gardens on the outskirts of the Red City, the resort is leaning on its reputation to capture that demand.
The property was named Africa’s top hotel in the 2025 Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards, a nod to its standing among the continent’s leading luxury addresses.
Mandarin Oriental says the new packages are built around longer stays and deeper engagement with local culture, reflecting a shift in how affluent guests plan their trips.
The three offerings — Blissful Retreat, Timeless Marrakech and Taste of Marrakech — are designed to appeal to different travel styles while keeping the focus on privacy, service and place-based experiences.

Wellness-led stays
The Blissful Retreat package targets travelers focused on rest and recovery.
It includes daily spa treatments, traditional hammam rituals, private yoga sessions and guided fitness programs.
Guests also take part in herbal tea ceremonies using ingredients grown in the resort’s gardens, adding a local touch to the wellness offering.

Culture and adventure
Timeless Marrakech is built around heritage and exploration.
Guests can book private Chewaya barbecue dinners, join artisan skincare workshops and visit museums with local guides.
Outdoor options include hot air balloon rides at sunrise and vintage sidecar tours through the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.
A culinary focus
Food lovers are the target market for Taste of Marrakech.
The package features private villa breakfasts, hands-on Moroccan cooking classes, tasting menus at the resort’s Shirvan restaurant and guided spice market walks through the Medina.

Together, the packages reflect a broader shift in luxury travel, where travelers are spending more on curated experiences that blend comfort with culture.
With interest in premium African destinations continuing to climb, Mandarin Oriental Marrakech is betting that tailored wellness programs, heritage-driven activities and high-touch service will help keep the resort on the shortlists of global travelers heading into 2026.
