Virgin Limited Edition to launch luxury Marrakech hotel in 2027

Virgin Limited Edition, the award-winning collection of distinctive hotels and retreats under the Virgin Hotels Collection, will open a new hotel near Marrakech in 2027.

The property will feature 37 suites and draw on Moroccan craftsmanship and Berber design traditions. Construction is already underway on the 10-hectare estate, which also includes plans for a residential project. 

The development is a collaboration with Marrakech-based real estate developer Sazanes Immobilier, marking a long-term partnership aimed at creating an immersive luxury experience rooted in local culture.

A retreat close to the city and mountains 

The estate sits about a 25-minute drive from central Marrakech, offering a quiet base for guests while keeping the city’s markets, cuisine, and cultural sites within easy reach.

It is also roughly an hour from Virgin Limited Edition’s Kasbah Tamadot in the Atlas Mountains, giving travelers the opportunity to combine two distinct experiences—urban exploration and a mountain retreat—within the Virgin portfolio. 

Plans for the estate include a 40-hectare organic farm producing citrus, olives, and vegetables to supply three restaurants, a Chef’s Table, and a speakeasy bar.

Guests will have access to a traditional Moroccan wellness facility with a hammam, a 40-meter swimming pool, and a range of sports and recreation, including tennis, padel, horse riding, yoga, and pilates.

Central to the experience will be a curated program of cultural and immersive activities, a hallmark of Virgin Limited Edition properties.

Virgin Hotels expands high-end experiences

Bookings for the first 22 suites will open in September 2026, ahead of the hotel’s initial launch in early 2027. The remaining 15 suites are scheduled to open in early 2028, with details of the residential project to follow. 

Virgin Hotels Collection, established in January 2023, oversees Virgin Hotels and Virgin Limited Edition, both award-winning brands within Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group.
