CityBlue Hotels rolls out AI concierge across Africa, lifts guest experience

CityBlue Hotels is introducing AI-powered concierge systems across its properties, deepening its push into digital operations as competition rises in Africa’s hospitality sector.

The rollout, developed with UK-based Inntelo AI, reflects a broader shift among hotel operators toward faster service and more personalized guest experiences.

The move comes as travel across Africa picks up, supported by stronger regional mobility and growing interest from international visitors.

Hotels are under pressure to respond quickly to guest needs while keeping service consistent across locations.

CityBlue says the new system is designed to handle everyday guest requests in real time, from bookings to local recommendations.

The aim is to reduce wait times and improve the overall stay, particularly for travelers who expect quick, mobile-first service.

The company plans to formally present the initiative at the Future Hospitality Summit Africa in Nairobi, where industry players are set to discuss technology’s growing role in tourism.

Focus on service and efficiency

The AI concierge will manage a range of guest interactions, including reservations, service requests and general inquiries.

It can also adapt over time, learning guest preferences to offer more relevant suggestions during future stays.

For staff, the system is expected to ease routine workloads, allowing teams to focus on more complex guest needs.

Hotel managers say access to real-time data will help improve response times and day-to-day decision-making.

The effort is aimed at helping employees work alongside new systems while keeping service levels high.

As more travelers expect quicker and more tailored service, CityBlue’s investment highlights how technology is becoming a central part of hotel operations across Africa.
