  • Handcrafted Moroccan hotels blend heritage, personalized luxury, and immersive cultural experiences.
  • Lagoon-front and medina retreats offering jacuzzis, spas, rooftop dining, and bespoke excursions.
  • Sustainable hospitality rooted in local artisanship, biodiversity, and eco-luxury innovations.

Founded in the year 2000, La Sultana is comprised of the hotels La Sultana Marrakech, founded in 2004, La Sultana Oualidia built in 2007, and the Sultana Yacht, created in 2015 and currently under independent management.

Whether through energy conservation, water stewardship, or preserving architectural heritage, La Sultana pairs luxury with Blending Morocco’s imperial soul with timeless refinement, La Sultana Hotel Group is a rare collection of heritage-rich properties where every detail whispers elegance.

La Sultana Marrakech: Royal splendor in the medina, Marrakech

With its properties in Marrakech and Oualidia, and its independent Sultana Yacht, the group crafts emotionally resonant stays that reflect Morocco’s artisanal beauty, cultural wealth, and spirit of slow, indulgent living.

A legacy of refinement and discreet excellence

Since its founding in 2000, La Sultana has remained fiercely intimate—prioritizing heritage over expansion. La Sultana Marrakech opened in 2004 in the city’s historic Kasbah, a stone’s throw from royal palaces and ancient tombs.

In 2007, La Sultana Oualidia was unveiled beside the tranquil tidal lagoon of Oualidia, Morocco’s hidden coastal pearl. Each property is designed as a “collector’s residence,” fusing handcrafted architecture, Moroccan antiques, and immersive comfort for discerning travelers.

From the fragrant courtyards of the Red City to the oyster-filled shores of the Atlantic, La Sultana’s mission is constant: to provide immersive experiences steeped in local culture, wrapped in sustainable luxury, and delivered with signature Moroccan hospitality.

La Sultana Marrakech: Royal splendor in the medina

Situated within Marrakech’s UNESCO-listed walled medina, La Sultana Marrakech is an opulent riad complex comprising 28 uniquely styled rooms and suites. The design draws inspiration from royal dynasties—each space adorned with hand-carved cedarwood, zellige tiles, tadelakt walls, and vintage treasures.

Rooftop terraces offer panoramic views of the Saadian Tombs and snowcapped Atlas Mountains, while hidden gardens and a heated outdoor pool evoke an oasis within the city’s bustle. Culinary offerings span two restaurants and a rooftop “mezze” and cocktail bar, where Moroccan ingredients meet French refinement.

Signature experiences include a 2,000-square-meter rooftop terrace for alfresco dining, personalized cookery classes, and indulgent spa rituals grounded in ancestral Moroccan beauty traditions.

La Sultana Oualidia: Lagoon serenity and eco-elegance

A three-hour drive west of Marrakech, La Sultana Oualidia is a secluded coastal retreat set between ocean waves and a saltwater lagoon. With only 12 rooms and suites—each boasting private terraces, jacuzzis, and views of the tidal waters—it delivers barefoot luxury with botanical soul.

Guests can unwind in a treehouse suite shaded by palms, take dips in the infinity pool blending into the lagoon, or dine on the terrace of the resort’s famed oyster bar. A heated indoor pool, holistic spa, gym, and organic garden round out the wellness offering, while seasonal menus spotlight just-caught seafood and produce from the hotel’s grounds.

The property reflects La Sultana’s eco-responsible ethos, from sustainable sourcing and plastic-free practices to marine preservation and artisan partnerships.

An ethos of conscious luxury

What unites La Sultana’s destinations is a philosophy of intimate scale, emotional storytelling, and ecological integrity.

Both hotels are members of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and embrace Morocco’s emerging green tourism movement through locally rooted initiatives.

Whether through energy conservation, water stewardship, or preserving architectural heritage, La Sultana pairs luxury with purpose.

With no plans to scale into corporate anonymity, La Sultana Hotel Group is preserving the soul of Moroccan hospitality—one handcrafted detail at a time.
