  • Mahé leads Seychelles’ retail growth with modern malls serving residents and rising tourist traffic.
  • New and historic shopping hubs offer convenience, local flavor and expanding visitor-focused services.
  • From Eden Plaza to Victoria Market, each center supports daily life and tourism activity.

Seychelles is known for its white-sand beaches and island retreats, but its shopping scene has been expanding quietly as tourism and new businesses rise.

Mahé now hosts the country’s biggest malls, modern retail hubs and long-standing markets that serve both residents and visitors.

These centers offer a mix of supermarkets, fashion stores, cafés, electronics shops and local boutiques, giving travelers more options beyond the beaches.

From the marina-lined Eden Plaza to the new Mall of Victoria, Seychelles’ retail landscape is becoming an important part of how people shop, eat and explore the islands.

The island nation is not a major retail destination, yet its shopping centers reflect an economy that is gradually widening in scope.

From the marina backdrop of Eden Plaza to the everyday bustle of Victoria’s historic market, each location plays a role in how residents shop and how visitors experience the country beyond its beaches.

Shore Africa profiles the 7 biggest malls and retail hubs shaping daily life and tourism across Seychelles.

1. Mall of Victoria — Roche Caiman, Seychelles
Opened in August 2025, this is Seychelles’ largest and most contemporary retail destination. Located near central Victoria and close to the airport, the mall houses 40 retail and office units anchored by a Papa Pillay supermarket. International brands, cafés and leisure outlets fill the complex, which was designed as a modern social and commercial hub. It serves residents, office workers and travelers seeking a clean and organized shopping environment.

2. Orion Mall
Located in central Victoria, Orion Mall is among the country’s more modern indoor malls. It includes fashion outlets, home-essentials stores, electronics shops and financial services, making it a dependable stop for everyday needs.

3. Eden Plaza
Set along the marina on Eden Island, Eden Plaza is one of the country’s most recognizable retail spaces. Its waterfront layout gives it a relaxed, resort-style atmosphere, with cafés, restaurants and boutiques overlooking ocean views. A well-stocked supermarket anchors the plaza, drawing yacht owners, travelers and locals.

4. Docklands Shopping Complex
Situated in Providence, one of Mahé’s fastest-growing commercial districts, Docklands serves as a busy hub for both residents and businesses. Clothing stores, homeware outlets, international chains and a variety of dining options surround a well-frequented supermarket that keeps the complex active throughout the week.

5. Bois de Rose Shopping Complex
Compact but lively, Bois de Rose Shopping Complex in Victoria offers boutiques, supermarkets and local eateries. Its strength is convenience: shoppers can find daily essentials and locally made souvenirs within a few steps.

6. Victoria House Shopping Centre
One of Victoria’s long-standing malls, Victoria House brings together fashion stores, accessories shops, financial services and specialty outlets. Its mix of local and international names gives it broad appeal in the heart of the capital.

7. M.D. Pillai Shopping Center in Anse Royale
Along Mahé’s southeastern coast, Anse Royale Shopping Village uses an open-air, village-style layout. Fashion boutiques, pharmacies, cafés and local product stores make it a friendly stop for both residents and beachgoers.

8. Thara’s Shopping Centre
A reliable neighborhood hub, Thara’s offers fashion, electronics, homeware and essential services. Its simple layout and wide mix of stores make it practical for families and daily shoppers.
