Kerten Hospitality, in partnership with Moroccan jeweler Oromecanica Group, has unveiled Cloud 7 Dersa Tetouan, a luxury hotel that blends modern design with the city’s rich cultural heritage.

The launch reflects a commitment to expanding Morocco’s high-end tourism while highlighting its unique artisanal and architectural traditions.

A modern stay in a historic landmark

The hotel is set within the Dersa building, a notable Spanish-era landmark in Tetouan. Its original façade has been preserved, while interiors offer contemporary luxury with a design-led approach.

Positioned near the Martil-Tamuda Bay coastline and major cultural sites, the property allows guests to experience Tetouan’s Andalusian-inspired charm alongside modern comfort. Visitors can explore the city’s art, history, and Mediterranean scenery, creating a distinctive stay that blends tradition with hospitality innovation.

Lifestyle hospitality meets local culture

Cloud 7 Dersa Tetouan will feature 63 guest rooms, including family suites, alongside several dining and leisure options. Joontos restaurant, a signature of Kerten Hospitality, will showcase regional cuisine, while a cigar lounge, lobby café, and rooftop bar provide spaces to relax with views of the city and coastline.

The hotel emphasizes community engagement, supporting local artisans and businesses while offering travelers an authentic Moroccan experience.

The collaboration with Oromecanica ensures the hotel reflects Morocco’s heritage through artisanal craftsmanship. Cloud 7 Dersa Tetouan complements the country’s focus on cultural tourism, attracting visitors seeking more than traditional beach resorts.

Its design and location highlight northern Morocco’s history, encouraging exploration of local culture and lifestyle.

Sustainable growth through cultural tourism

Beyond luxury, the project aims to foster economic growth and sustainable tourism. It will generate jobs, support local entrepreneurship, and promote responsible travel practices.

By integrating modern hospitality with cultural authenticity, Cloud 7 Dersa Tetouan sets an example for hotels seeking to balance economic development with heritage preservation.
