  • Top miners drive employment, infrastructure growth, and strategic regional economic impact.

Africa’s mining sector remains a cornerstone of its economic engine, powering growth, job creation, and foreign investment across the continent.

From the cobalt-rich soils of the Democratic Republic of Congo to the platinum belts of South Africa and the diamond fields of Botswana, the continent is home to some of the world’s most influential mining corporations.

The sector is navigating a dynamic landscape shaped by soaring global demand for minerals like cobalt, copper, platinum, and nickel, critical for electric vehicles and renewable energy technologies.

Yet, these opportunities are tempered by regulatory uncertainty, infrastructure gaps, and geopolitical considerations.
