AFCON 2025 in Morocco is being powered by a powerful coalition of global corporations, institutional partners, and Moroccan champions underwriting Africa’s flagship football tournament.

More than a sporting spectacle, the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations is emerging as a strategic economic and branding platform, reinforcing Morocco’s reputation as Africa’s most dependable mega-event host.

With world-class stadiums, integrated transport networks, and deep corporate partnerships, Morocco is positioning AFCON 2025 as a globally competitive sporting property.

Behind the scenes, a select group of financiers and official partners are funding logistics, connectivity, mobility, sustainability, and fan experience, ensuring the tournament delivers economic spillovers, tourism growth, and long-term infrastructure utilization.

From TotalEnergies’ multi-year title sponsorship covering 12 CAF competitions, to European Union-backed institutional support for African football development, these contributors are not merely advertisers.

They are long-term investors in Africa’s sports economy. Moroccan champions such as ONCF, Royal Air Maroc, and Sidi Ali reinforce the host nation’s commitment, while global brands like Orange, Puma, and 1xBet amplify AFCON’s international reach.

Together, these financiers profiled by Shore Africa are shaping a tournament designed to deliver economic spillovers, boost tourism receipts, deepen infrastructure usage, and leave a durable legacy for African football.

1. TotalEnergies – Title Sponsor
The French energy giant anchors AFCON as title sponsor, funding branding and operations across 12 CAF competitions, reinforcing its long-term strategic bet on African football and continental visibility. TotalEnergies will sponsor 12 major CAF events and CAF competitions in the period: 2025-2028. These include the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2024, TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, and TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda 2027, amongst others. TotalEnergies has been present in Africa for over 90 years and is the continent’s leading multi-energy company. Committed to energy transition, it operates across the energy value chain.

2. 1xBet – Official sponsor and Global Betting Partner
As a
global betting partner, 1xBet boosts digital engagement, international fan interaction, and sponsorship revenues, expanding AFCON’s commercial footprint across emerging and global markets. The partnership will see 1xBet sponsor CAF’s main events across Africa through the Clubs tournaments (Total CAF Champions League, Total CAF Confederation Cup, Total CAF Super Cup) and CAF’s flagship tournament, the Total Africa Cup of Nations.

3. European Union – Institutional Global Partner
The European Union (EU), via the European Commission, is an official partner and sponsor for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 and 2027, as well as other CAF tournaments like the Women’s AFCON 2024 and the African Schools Football Championship, through a significant partnership announced in May 2025. This collaboration focuses on developing football, promoting shared values, and strengthening ties between Europe and Africa, with the EU supporting youth and development initiatives alongside the major tournaments.

4. Orange – Exclusive Telecommunications Partner
Orange powers AFCON’s digital backbone, delivering connectivity, mobile services, and fan engagement platforms critical to broadcasting, ticketing, and real-time tournament interaction.

5. Puma – Official Technical & Match Ball Partner
Puma supplies official kits and match balls, reinforcing AFCON’s technical standards while deepening its footprint in Africa’s fast-growing sportswear market.

6. Royal Air Maroc – Official Airline Partner
Morocco’s flag carrier handles team and fan mobility, supporting tourism inflows while positioning Casablanca as a continental aviation hub during AFCON 2025.

7. Apsonic – Official Motorcycle Partner
Apsonic provides mobility solutions for logistics and operations, highlighting the growing role of African industrial brands in continental sporting events.

This partnership ensures enhanced train services, special schedules, and travel packages to facilitate fan movement between host cities, making travel seamless and accessible during the tournament.

Visa — Official Supplier & Financier of AFCON 2025 Visa Inc. is one of the world’s largest digital payments companies, operating in more than 200 countries and territories. As an official partner of AFCON 2025, the scope of this partnership includes the following CAF Competitions: the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (“AFCON”) Côte d’Ivoire 2023, the CAF AFCON Morocco 2025, the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (“WAFCON”) 2024 and the CAF WAFCON 2026.
