Kerzner International Holdings will take over management of the hospitality division at Shamwari Private Game Reserve in South Africa’s Eastern Cape, effective April 1, 2026.

Owned by the Investment Corporation of Dubai, Shamwari spans 25,000 hectares of protected wilderness and is home to the Big 5. The reserve includes seven lodges, each offering tailored culinary, wellness, and multi-generational experiences.

Kerzner will also integrate Shamwari Air, the reserve’s private aviation service, into its commercial platform, offering on-demand flights from Cape Town and Johannesburg with exclusive lounge access.

Established to conserve wildlife, birdlife, and regional ecology, Shamwari is a cornerstone of responsible tourism in the Eastern Cape. The partnership with Kerzner expands the company’s Rare Finds portfolio, which focuses on distinctive, conservation-led destinations across Africa.
