Truecaller is stepping up its expansion in Africa’s digital advertising market with a new exclusive reseller agreement with 365 Digital in Kenya and South Africa.

The deal strengthens the company’s push to grow advertising revenue in two of the continent’s most active mobile markets.

The partnership gives 365 Digital sole rights to sell Truecaller Ads inventory in both countries.

For brands and media agencies, it creates a direct route to Truecaller’s large user base and its first-party data, which advertisers increasingly rely on as privacy rules tighten and third-party cookies fade.

Digital advertising in Africa is shifting quickly toward mobile, where consumers spend most of their time.

Kenya and South Africa stand out for high smartphone use, established agency networks and growing demand for measurable, performance-driven campaigns.

That backdrop makes them key markets for global technology platforms seeking sustainable growth.

For Truecaller, best known for its caller ID and spam-blocking app, the agreement expands its direct sales presence in Africa.

The company is betting that its scale and reputation as a trusted utility app can help brands reach consumers in a brand-safe environment.

Expanding local sales

Under the agreement, 365 Digital will oversee local sales, agency relationships and advertiser engagement for Truecaller Ads.

The aim is to combine Truecaller’s global advertising technology with 365 Digital’s market knowledge and client relationships.

“South Africa and Kenya are strategically important to our long-term growth in Africa,” said Hemant Arora, vice president and global head of Truecaller’s ads business.

He said brands that partner directly with Truecaller gain access to scaled audiences and tailored solutions built around specific marketing goals.

Focus on trust and results

Julian Jordaan, CEO of 365 Digital, said the timing of the partnership matters.

Advertisers, he said, are under pressure to show clear returns while protecting brand reputation.

“At a time when trust is critical, Truecaller’s role in everyday communication offers a meaningful way for brands to connect with consumers,” Jordaan said.

“We look forward to delivering measurable results for clients in both markets.”

The agreement reflects a broader shift as global tech firms work with local partners to deepen advertising revenue across Africa.

As competition grows in Kenya and South Africa, alliances like this are set to play a central role in shaping the region’s digital ad landscape.
