Datatec, a leading technology and ICT solutions group based in Johannesburg and led by South African businessman Jens Montanana, is expanding its European footprint through the acquisition of NetworkedAssets by its subsidiary, Logicalis Germany, marking a strategic entry into Poland’s fast-growing technology market.

The deal strengthens Datatec’s position in Central and Eastern Europe, where demand for cloud, automation, and advanced IT infrastructure continues to rise.

Acquisition strengthens engineering capabilities
Logicalis Germany acquired 100% of NetworkedAssets, a software engineering firm specializing in network automation and observability solutions. The company operates from Berlin and Wrocław, providing a strong local engineering base.

Key benefits of the deal include enhanced automation and observability capabilities, stronger engineering presence in Poland, as well as improved service delivery for enterprise clients.

Expansion into Poland’s growing tech market
Poland has emerged as a major hub for technology talent and enterprise IT services in Europe. By entering this market, Datatec is positioning itself to capture growing demand for digital infrastructure solutions.

The acquisition also reflects a broader shift toward automation-driven IT systems, particularly in cloud and data center environments. CEO Jens Montanana said the deal builds on an existing partnership and adds valuable engineering talent to the company’s European operations.

Growth strategy focused on digital infrastructure
The transaction aligns with Datatec’s strategy to expand high-margin digital infrastructure services across key global markets. The group continues to invest in areas such as cloud computing solutions, connectivity services, and cybersecurity capabilities. These areas are seeing increased demand as enterprises modernize IT systems.

Global expansion through targeted acquisitions
Founded by Jens Montanana in 1986, Datatec has grown into a global ICT powerhouse with operations in more than 50 countries, including Logicalis. The group has increasingly relied on acquisitions to deepen regional expertise and scale operations.

With emphasis on software, cloud solutions, and recurring revenue streams, this has supported consistent growth and resilience over decades. The acquisition of NetworkedAssets strengthens Datatec’s engineering capabilities and expands its footprint in Europe, positioning the group for growth in high-demand IT services markets.
