CA&S Group, the dual-listed fast-moving consumer goods services firm led by Botswana executive Duncan Lewis, has completed its acquisition of a controlling stake in Sunpac Proprietary Limited, strengthening its position in South Africa’s distribution and route-to-market segment.

The company confirmed that it has successfully implemented the transaction to acquire an initial 71.19% stake in Main Street Holdings Proprietary Limited, the holding company of Sunpac, following approval from the Competition Commission South Africa and the fulfilment of all conditions precedent.

Sunpac is a leading South African distributor and turnkey route-to-market partner, servicing a portfolio of global brand owners and retailers. The acquisition enhances CA&S’ ability to deepen its footprint in South Africa’s FMCG value chain, particularly in sales execution and distribution.

The deal marks a strategic expansion for CA&S as it continues to scale its integrated service offering across key African markets.

The transaction was supported by PSG Capital as transaction advisor and JSE sponsor, while Imara Capital Securities acted as sponsoring broker on the Botswana Stock Exchange.

The completion of the Sunpac deal underscores CA&S’ strategy of driving growth through targeted acquisitions and operational expansion, reinforcing its asset base and strengthening its competitive position in Africa’s fast-moving consumer goods distribution sector.
