Coca-Cola HBC has launched a digital delivery center in Cairo, strengthening its presence in Egypt’s rapidly expanding outsourcing and technology services sector.

The new hub will support the company’s operations across 27 markets spanning Europe and Africa, positioning Egypt at the center of its global digital strategy. The move reflects a growing shift among multinational corporations toward consolidating advanced digital capabilities in emerging markets with strong talent pipelines and competitive operating costs.

Cairo hub targets digital export growth

Designed as a scalable platform, the Cairo center will deliver a wide range of services, including artificial intelligence, software engineering, quality assurance, user experience design, and agile delivery.

The facility currently employs about 250 professionals and is expected to expand to 450 employees by 2027. Once fully operational, it is projected to generate approximately $34 million in annual digital export revenues, contributing to Egypt’s foreign exchange earnings through technology-driven services.

Beyond service delivery, the hub will play a central role in developing and managing business-critical digital solutions across Coca-Cola HBC’s international operations.

Egypt emerges as outsourcing powerhouse

Coca-Cola HBC’s expansion builds on its partnership with Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), initiated in 2024.

The collaboration was strengthened through a memorandum of understanding signed during the Global Offshoring Summit, supporting the company’s growth plans, enhancing digital export capacity, and developing specialized local talent.

The investment highlights a structural shift in Egypt’s economic positioning, as global firms increasingly view the country as a destination for high-value digital operations rather than traditional manufacturing.

Global firms accelerate shift to digital hubs

Coca-Cola HBC joins a growing list of multinational companies establishing digital delivery centers in Egypt, attracted by its expanding talent base and cost competitiveness.

The trend aligns with the government’s digital economy strategy aimed at positioning Egypt as a leading destination for global business services.

According to Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, agreements signed with 55 companies in 2025 are expected to create more than 75,000 jobs over three years, reflecting strong demand for the country’s digital workforce.

As more companies establish global capability centers serving international markets, Egypt’s opportunity extends beyond job creation to building expertise in advanced fields such as artificial intelligence, software engineering, and digital product development, sectors expected to drive the next phase of economic growth.
