International cybersecurity company Integrity360 has opened a new security operations center in Cape Town, its largest facility among 16 locations worldwide, as demand for cyber defense services continues to grow.

The company has invested more than R55 million ($3.4 million) in the facility, which is expected to create about 100 jobs over time. The center will employ cybersecurity professionals at a time when skilled workers are in high demand in South Africa and overseas.

The City of Cape Town described the investment as “a strong vote of confidence in our city,” highlighting the growing role of the technology sector in the local economy.

Investment targets South Africa’s cybersecurity

Talent “The cybersecurity skills shortage is pervasive the world over,” said Martin Potgieter, regional chief technology officer at Integrity360.

Potgieter said creating high-quality jobs in South Africa could help keep skilled professionals from leaving the country.

“The best way to retain our local talent is to give them world-class and market-leading opportunities right here at home,” he said.

The new center will provide 24-hour monitoring and incident response for customers in Africa and other international markets. Integrity360 said the facility will also strengthen its ability to respond as companies adopt artificial intelligence while facing a new wave of AI-driven cyberattacks.

The company said cyber resilience, the ability to detect, respond to and recover from an attack is becoming just as important as preventing attacks.

Cape Town expands its role in cybersecurity

Cape Town became an Integrity360 base two years ago after the company acquired local cybersecurity businesses Grove Group and Nclose between August 2024 and January 2025.

James Vos, Cape Town’s mayoral committee member for economic growth, attended the opening and said investments such as Integrity360’s bring capital, create jobs and connect local workers with opportunities in a growing global industry.

“We want Cape Town to be the easiest place to do business in Africa,” Vos said. The company has also expanded into North America through its acquisition of Canadian cybersecurity firm Advantus360 earlier this year. Its operations now span Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and North America.

Integrity360 has more than 775 employees, including more than 585 cybersecurity professionals. The company operates seven security operations centers in Ireland, Sweden, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy and South Africa, providing services that cover cyber risk identification, prevention, detection, response and recovery.
