Reinet Investments (Reinet), the Luxembourg-based investment firm led by South African billionaire Johann Rupert, has appointed Raymond Hyman as chief financial officer, effective January 1, 2027, as Diane Longden prepares to retire from the position.

The appointment, announced on October 21, 2026, will see Raymond Hyman take over responsibility for the group’s finance function after more than 12 years serving as Reinet’s financial manager. The transition is designed to preserve continuity within the investment group, with Longden remaining in office through the end of December to support an orderly handover.

Hyman brings more than a decade of Reinet experience

Raymond Hyman is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and has served as Reinet’s financial manager since early 2014. Before joining the company, he gained financial experience in Luxembourg and other international markets.

Raymond Hyman’s appointment places an experienced internal executive in the group’s top finance role, drawing on his familiarity with Reinet’s operations and financial management.

Reinet Investments S.C.A., the Luxembourg-based investment company listed in Luxembourg, Amsterdam and Johannesburg, Reinet Investments Manager S.A. and Reinet Fund Manager S.A., the entities responsible for managing the investment structures, announced the appointment on behalf of the group.

Longden to support an orderly transition

Longden will remain chief financial officer until December 31, 2026, giving the company a defined transition period before Hyman assumes the role at the start of the new year.

After stepping down as finance chief, she will continue serving as a director of Reinet Fund Manager S.A., the general partner of Reinet Fund S.C.A., F.I.S. Her continued involvement is intended to preserve leadership continuity, institutional knowledge and experience across the Reinet group.

The announcement did not provide further details about Longden’s retirement or her tenure as chief financial officer.

Reinet’s international investment structure

Reinet Investments S.C.A. is a partnership limited by shares incorporated in Luxembourg under the country’s securitisation law. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Reinet Fund S.C.A., F.I.S., a specialised investment fund also incorporated in Luxembourg, the company enables shareholders to participate indirectly in a portfolio of assets.

Its ordinary shares trade on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, Euronext Amsterdam and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, where the listing is secondary. Reinet’s shares are also included in the LuxX index, which tracks principal shares traded on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.

The finance leadership change comes as the group prepares for a new year under Hyman’s leadership, with Longden remaining involved at fund-management level after the handover.
