Enterprise Group PLC has appointed Jacqueline Benyi as its new Group Chief Operating Officer, Life, elevating one of Ghana’s most experienced insurance executives to a strategic leadership role within the financial services group.

Jacqueline Benyi, who previously served as Managing Director of Enterprise Life Ghana for a decade, assumed her new position effective Sept. 1, 2026. Her appointment marks a new chapter in a career spanning 25 years in life insurance administration.

A new leadership role at Enterprise Group

Enterprise Group PLC announced the appointment on Aug. 28, positioning Jacqueline Benyi to take on broader responsibilities across the group’s life insurance operations. Enterprise Group is the holding company for businesses operating across insurance, pensions, property and funeral services. The group also has operations in Nigeria and The Gambia and is listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange.

Jacqueline Benyi takes on the new role after leading Enterprise Life Ghana since 2016, a period during which she provided strategic leadership focused on business excellence, operational effectiveness and long-term value creation.

Her tenure at Enterprise Life was marked by business transformation and organisational restructuring initiatives, process improvements and the adoption of technology to improve customer experience.

From Enterprise Life MD to Group COO, Life

Jacqueline Benyi brings more than two decades of experience in life insurance administration to her new role. A Chartered Insurer and Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in the United Kingdom, she is also described as Ghana’s first and only professionally qualified life underwriter and claims assessor.

She holds a degree in Economics and Sociology as well as an Executive MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana. Her executive education also includes leadership programmes at the University of Stellenbosch and the Gordon Institute of Business Science in South Africa.

Before becoming Managing Director of Enterprise Life Ghana in 2016, Benyi built her career across several areas of the life insurance business, developing extensive experience in operations, customer service, business development and insurance administration.

Her appointment as Group COO, Life, represents a significant expansion of her leadership responsibilities from overseeing one of the group’s operating companies to contributing to the broader strategic and operational direction of Enterprise Group’s life insurance business.
