Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has shattered jersey sales records at Turkish champions Galatasaray, with his newly unveiled five-star kit becoming the fastest-selling in the club’s history.

The surge in sales comes as fans rally around the star forward, hoping he stays in Istanbul despite a growing list of European and Middle Eastern suitors.

The club’s official stores and online platforms reported record-breaking demand within hours of the kit’s release.

Galatasaray supporters flooded social media with declarations like “Osimhen is here,” fueling optimism that the 25-year-old striker will remain with the Süper Lig winners after weeks of uncertainty.

Istanbul arrival and four-year deal imminent

According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, Osimhen is expected to arrive in Istanbul soon to finalize a four-year contract.

Galatasaray is reportedly planning a grand unveiling ceremony for the Nigerian forward, who powered the club to a league and cup double last season with 37 goals and eight assists in 41 appearances.

The new deal would mark a major coup for Galatasaray, which faces increasing pressure to retain its top talent amid fierce competition in the global transfer market.

Top Clubs circle as Osimhen holds out

Despite the fanfare, Osimhen remains one of the hottest names in the summer transfer window.

Sources including Valentin Furlan and Rudy Galetti report that Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain have opened discussions with Napoli—Osimhen’s parent club—about a potential transfer.

Napoli still holds the player under contract and is reportedly valuing him at over €100 million ($117 million).

Saudi giants Al-Hilal have also entered the race, making headlines with a record €50 million ($58 million) per year offer.

However, Osimhen has not accepted the proposal, signaling his preference for European competition at the peak of his career.

What’s Next for Osimhen?

With Galatasaray fans pushing for clarity and European clubs pressing for a deal, the coming weeks could prove decisive.

For now, the jersey sales boom signals the commercial and emotional pull Osimhen carries—and how much is at stake for every side involved.
