Fairview Hotel Nairobi, a historic boutique hotel in the heart of Nairobi, has become the first property in Africa to join IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Vignette Collection. The 99-room property, often called Upper Hill’s “living garden hotel,” combines Nairobi’s historic charm with modern luxury, offering guests a serene retreat in the bustling city.

Joining the Vignette Collection underscores IHG’s focus on expanding its luxury and lifestyle portfolio, now the world’s second largest. As the collection’s first African property, Fairview Hotel Nairobi brings a distinctive blend of heritage, calm, and sophistication to Kenya’s capital.

IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Vignette Collection

Heritage design meets modern comfort

The hotel’s early 20th-century architecture highlights Nairobi’s rich history. Arched windows, wrought-iron details, spiral staircases, and tranquil courtyards surround 99 newly renovated rooms and suites. Guests can relax by the outdoor swimming pool or use the fully equipped fitness center for a refreshing break.

The property’s design fuses Nairobi’s bluestone with lush gardens, creating an urban oasis that offers quiet spaces amid city life. This setting is ideal for travelers seeking a peaceful stay without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

Fairview Hotel Nairobi features three signature restaurants: Mukutan, serving innovative local and international dishes; Pwani, inspired by coastal flavors; and Giuseppe, offering classic Italian cuisine. The Atrium Coffee Shop serves fresh pastries and light meals, while the Nthome Fireplace provides a warm evening retreat.

Expanding the Vignette Collection

Fairview Hotel Nairobi is the 27th property in the growing Vignette Collection, which includes notable locations such as Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort and Arabella Beach Hotel Kuwait.

The collection highlights individuality and authenticity while benefiting from IHG’s global resources. As the first African property, Fairview sets a benchmark for luxury hospitality in the region.
