Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) Holding, Egypt’s leading real estate developer, has surpassed a $4 billion market capitalization, reinforcing its position as the country’s second-largest listed firm after Commercial International Bank (CIB). The Cairo-based developer, led by billionaire Hisham Talaat Moustafa, has added more than $900 million in market value in 2026, driven by strong property sales, regional expansion, and rising investor confidence.

TMG’s share price on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has climbed more than 30% this year, rising from EGP80 ($0.98) in January to EGP99.68 ($1.97), pushing its valuation past the $4 billion mark as of July 18, 2026. The company’s strong market performance reflects sustained demand for its large-scale developments and a growing footprint beyond Egypt.

Financial results further highlight the company’s momentum, reporting profits of EGP18.2 billion ($350.32 million) in 2025, up 42.54% year-on-year, while revenues surged 46% to EGP62.49 billion ($1.2 billion). Earnings per share also rose significantly to EGP6.98 ($0.13), reinforcing shareholder value.

TMG records strong sales growth
The group’s flagship SouthMED project continues to drive record-breaking sales. The coastal megaproject has generated contractual sales of EGP382.2 billion ($7.35 billion), supported by new launches such as Sharm Bay and expansion into Oman with the Joud and Yamal developments. TMG’s unrecognized sales backlog has also grown to EGP441.2 billion ($8.49 billion), reflecting sustained demand and a robust project pipeline.

The company has now surpassed EGP1 trillion ($19.76 billion) in cumulative real estate sales, cementing its position as Egypt’s dominant property developer. Since 2017, TMG has maintained a compound annual growth rate of more than 70% in real estate sales, capturing over half of total sales among the country’s top developers.

Regional expansion boosts resilience
TMG’s expansion into Saudi Arabia and Oman is strengthening its long-term growth strategy. Projects such as Banan in Saudi Arabia and new developments in Oman are helping diversify revenue streams and hedge against currency volatility in Egypt. This regional strategy is also enhancing foreign currency inflows and positioning the company as a regional real estate leader.

TMG under Hisham Talaat Moustafa
Founded in 1974, TMG has evolved into Egypt’s largest developer by market share and delivery capacity. CEO Hisham Talaat Moustafa, who holds a 43.16% stake, continues to drive the company’s long-term strategy focused on high-margin, large-scale urban developments.

At the center of this strategy is SouthMED, a 23 million square meter development on Egypt’s North Coast featuring luxury residences, hospitality assets, and integrated infrastructure. The project has gained international attention through high-profile marketing campaigns featuring global figures such as Sylvester Stallone and Thierry Henry, reinforcing TMG’s premium positioning.

With strong financial performance, expanding regional footprint, and a growing pipeline of projects, TMG is well-positioned to sustain its leadership in Egypt’s real estate sector and drive future growth.
