Egyptian real estate giant Talaat Moustafa Group Holding (TMG), led by billionaire Hisham Talaat Moustafa, is accelerating its digital transformation through a five-year strategic agreement with SAP SE, bringing cloud ERP and business artificial intelligence deeper into one of Egypt’s biggest real estate developers.

TMG targets AI-powered growth

Under the agreement, TMG will adopt RISE with SAP to modernize its enterprise resource planning infrastructure, use cloud operations and strengthen cybersecurity while deploying SAP Business AI and advanced analytics.

The goal is to create a more flexible, data-driven operating platform capable of supporting TMG’s expansion while improving services for more than 1.5 million residents across communities developed by the group.

Ahmed Abdallah, TMG’s deputy executive vice president of information technology, said the transition would accelerate data processing, improve integration and strengthen operational efficiency.

SAP’s Augusta Spinelli, regional president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said combining cloud ERP, business data and AI would give TMG a more flexible digital foundation for future growth.

The agreement extends a relationship dating to 2006, when TMG began using SAP as its primary business management platform. The developer later moved further into cloud computing and launched an integrated digital platform for real estate sales in 2020.

Billionaire-led developer expands

Founded in 1974, TMG has built a portfolio spanning residential communities, hospitality and mixed-use developments. Moustafa owns 43.16% of the company and has overseen its expansion into large-scale urban projects.

TMG reported EGP 5.5 billion ($110.3 million) in net profit for the three months ended March 2026, up 24% from EGP 4.4 billion a year earlier. Its backlog reached EGP 457.9 billion ($9.2 billion), while total assets stood at EGP 475.2 billion ($9.5 billion).

Its SouthMED coastal project remains a major sales driver, generating contractual sales of EGP 382.2 billion ($7.35 billion). TMG is also expanding with projects including Sharm Bay in Egypt and Joud and Yamal in Oman.

SAP strengthens Egypt AI push

SAP SE, founded in 1972 by five former IBM engineers, is a German multinational software company and global enterprise software leader. Its ERP and business AI technologies serve more than 400,000 customers worldwide.

TMG’s move underscores how major African and Middle Eastern companies are increasingly using cloud ERP, AI and data analytics to modernize operations while scaling real estate and urban development.
