LEAD Real Estate Developer said construction is progressing on the AED3.13 billion ($852 million) Al Dhaher Housing Project in Abu Dhabi, a major housing development aimed at expanding homeownership for Emirati families.

The project is being built in the Al Ain Region under the Emirati Housing Program in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) and the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC).

It is one of the emirate’s largest residential developments currently under construction.

The development will deliver 2,200 villas across two phases on a 5.2 million-square-meter site. Phase One includes 1,000 villas and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2028.

Designed as a fully integrated community, the project combines modern homes with schools, mosques, parks, retail outlets and public facilities, supporting Abu Dhabi’s plans to build sustainable neighborhoods that meet the needs of a growing population.

Sheikh Hazza reviews construction progress

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region, reviewed progress on the project and said providing suitable housing for citizens remains a priority as Abu Dhabi continues to invest in community development.

He said the project reflects effective cooperation between the public and private sectors, with LEAD Real Estate leading construction under the supervision of ADHA and ADPIC.

During the visit, Sheikh Hazza toured model villas and received an update on the completion status of the development.

Homes designed for growing families

The villas will offer four-, five- and six-bedroom layouts on plots ranging from 900 to 1,000 square meters, with built-up areas of between 430 and 530 square meters.

Each home has been designed with expansion options, allowing families to add living space as their needs change.

Project planners said the architectural style draws inspiration from Al Ain landmarks, including Jebel Hafeet, Al Ain Oasis, Mezyad Fort and Falaj Mezyad, while combining traditional Emirati design with modern construction standards.

Community built around everyday living

Beyond housing, the development will include public and private schools, mosques, community centers, landscaped parks, sports facilities, cycling tracks, pedestrian walkways and retail outlets.

The goal is to create a connected community that supports daily life and encourages healthier lifestyles.

The company works with government agencies to deliver housing developments that support the UAE’s long-term urban planning and housing goals.

The Al Dhaher Housing Project is expected to become one of Abu Dhabi’s largest integrated residential communities, bringing together modern infrastructure, public services and housing in a single development for thousands of Emirati families.
