Across Africa, policymakers are prioritizing travel accessibility as a core tourism strategy, rolling out electronic travel authorizations (ETA), visa-on-arrival systems, and expanded visa-free entry frameworks. Recent policy shifts highlight the momentum. Zambia’s decision to expand visa-free access to more than 160 countries underscores a broader push to boost tourism investment in Africa, trade flows, and international arrivals. 

Meanwhile, South Africa’s rollout of a digital ETA system, cutting processing times to roughly 72 hours, signals a targeted appeal to premium leisure travelers and business executives.
